Welcome to Wikiquote

[edit]

Hi, Computor, I saw you have created your user page on English Wikiquote. I am happy to see you join our community. Now I have a request for your user page. You turned both your user page and talk to redirects to Wikipedia. I am afraid it will make some confusions. Specially it makes hard to review your contributions. Would you like to put a link to your favorite page and leave a message "please visit my Wikipedia page" instead? Cheers, --Aphaea* 08:29, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Thank you for your suggestion. I am going to amend them soon. Cheers. -- Computor 08:36, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Hi, I'm the guy from the Sanger Institute. We do have out own article (with a picture by me;-) We do large-scale DNA sequencing and sequence annotation/analysis, and our server farm is in the top500 supercomputers list.

Myself, I have a PhD in biochemistry, working on the kinase domain of the insulin receptor (yay protein structure research;-) I hope to hear from you, maybe we should get some of these protein-related articles in shape some time... --Magnus Manske (talk) 17:17, 7 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

P.S.: What's up with that "No licensing rights granted to Wikimedia Foundation" tag? They don't have any more rights to your contributions than anyone else...

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Computor! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 338 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Chan Kau-tai - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
